Decorating my home is my new found hobby. In the past I would have standard decoration through the house and hardly decorated for seasons with the exception of Christmas. After finding so much inspiration from Pinterest and one of my favorite home decorating blogs My Blessed Life, I finially finished all the fall decorations for our home.
Today I want to share my final touches with all of you.
My theme for our fall decoration was rustic elegance. I took down the curtains that were in our bedroom and my husband graciously put them up in our dining room to add a little bit of elegance. Using a different textures like burlap and linen, I am more then pleased with how it turned out. I made the wreath and the table runner for around five dollars. (I’ll be sharing more about this table setting in a future post: stay tuned!)
I love how our living room turned out. Besides fall scented candles, burlap fabric and fresh flowers, I made or had items on hand to create the our fall mantle. Therefore, it cost very little to make this little space inviting. To make the bunting, I used this fabulous tutorial.
This is the second wreath I made this fall. I used this tutorial as my guide. For the flowers, I purchased two fall silk bouquets from Michaels (on sale of course) and then pinned the flowers using straight pins. I want to be able to reuse this wreath for a Christmas wreath, using straight pins will allow me to remove the flowers easily.
The front door would not be complete without some mums and pumpkins. I re-used a hanging basket to plant the mums instead of buying a pot. I just removed the hanging accessory.
Well there you have it my friends: our fall decorations. I hope you are all having a fabulous week!
Have you decorated for fall this year? What is your favorite room in the house you’ve decorated?
